"Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others,
you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."
In this second chapter of "Troll Patrol" Froggett meets the Misty Bog Troll and
finds out that he is nothing like she thought he would be. She even helps him
learn to speak better so he won't be as scary. Many times we judge people by what
others have told us about them and we make up our minds that we aren't going to
like them even though we have never met them. God tells us to be careful of how
we judge others or how we think of them. An old saying is to never judge a book
by its cover or in this case, a troll by its smell.
Keep gettin' Froggie with it,

Get some shoe boxes and cut a hole in their top just big enough for a hand to fit
through. Now in one put some cooked spaghetti (worms), in another boiled
eggs(eyeballs), in another jelly(brains) etc. Tell the kids that in the boxes you have
worms, eyeballs, and brains and ask if anyone would like touch them. This may sound a
little gross but the kids will love it and it makes a great point. Without looking, have the
kids place their hand in the box and touch and feel what's inside. Each kid that does it
will make their faces and the usual gross comments. Some may not want to put their
hand in the boxes because its too yucky. After they have had their turn and washed off
their hands, open the boxes and show them what's inside. Explain to the kids that things
aren't always what they seem and just because someone says something about
someone doesn't mean it's true. Judge for yourselves what it right or wrong but be
careful how you judge. Make sure you know what you are talking about and not just
spreading gossip. It's very easy to hurt someone's feelings with a hurtful word.
